All-inclusive means your meals, snacks and usually drinks are included in one price. It makes a holiday easy to budget for, which is why it is so popular with UK families.
Best value countries
Turkey
Turkey is one of the best value all-inclusive countries, with big hotels, lots of pools and long sunny summers. Antalya, Side, Alanya, Marmaris and Bodrum are popular. British citizens do not need a visa for short tourist trips to Turkey (check GOV.UK before you go). Flights are about 4 hours.
Egypt
Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh have warm sea all year and good snorkelling. All-inclusive prices are often low, and it is a great winter choice. Check the visa rules on GOV.UK.
Bulgaria
Sunny Beach and Golden Sands on the Black Sea are known for low prices in summer. A good budget choice for families and groups.
Tunisia
Long sandy beaches and good value hotels, often cheaper than Spain for the same standard.
Spain and the Canary Islands
Usually a little more expensive, but there are flights from almost every UK airport, and there are lots of deals outside school holidays.
Ways to pay less
- Travel in May, June, September or October rather than July and August.
- Compare 7 and 10 night stays. Sometimes a few extra nights cost very little.
- Read what is included. Some hotels only include local drinks or charge for some restaurants.
- Look at the hotel's location. A cheaper hotel far from the beach can cost more in taxis.
- Make sure the holiday is ATOL protected if it includes flights.
